Portal VR opened in 2017 with a vision of making virtual reality more social, accessible, and entertaining. Over the past 6 years, the team at Portal VR has upheld this core vision around the phrase “VR is for everyone.” Regardless of your experience with technology or virtual reality, Portal VR’s game library and uniquely designed space make the technology approachable and exciting to people of all ages.

Our booths are designed for the most advanced, room-scale VR experiences.  This means you won’t be sitting in a chair.  You’ll be actively participating with a full 360-degree experience.  We use HTC Vive systems driven by powerful computers with superior graphics capability that provide the state of the art in VR.  Our booths are also padded for your comfort and safety and include a coat hook and storage bin for your belongings.

Apart from the games themselves, Portal VR also believes that virtual reality is a spectator sport. Each booth has a large HD video display showing others exactly what the player is seeing.  Most booths can also be seen from our lounge area so you can watch your friends (or strangers) as they jump, swing, crawl, and generally flail about while playing.  Sit back, have a snack, enjoy a drink, and be constantly amused by the bizarre movements and shrieks of other VR players.  It’s a blast.
